How to play Grail99
There's treasure hidden in Boston.
The treasure is an object hidden in plain sight (indoor or outdoor) at
a spot accessible to all. For example, it could be a very specific tree in a
particular park, a unique sculpture on a bustling street corner, or an
unassuming landmark with a secret story to tell.
The trick is to use your wit (along with the clues and daily shrinking map) to figure out what the treasure is.
Once you figure out what it is, all you have to do is record and send us a video of the treasure (see below for specifics on the video).
Ok, so what exactly am I looking for?
That's the fun part. It's not as hard as it may sound at first.
To figure out what the treasure is, you can use a number of tools at your disposal:
1) Begin with the free (first) clue available on our home page.
2) Check out the map on our homepage (the red circle shrinks every day at 6pm).
3) Check the clue map on our Clue Central webpage. You pick a location and it tells you if there is a clue at that spot.
4) Get a GamePass to get daily clues by SMS at 6pm. Remote GamePasses are available if you'd like to play remotely (learn more here).

Ok, I read the first clue on your homepage. I think I know where I should be heading. Now what?
Go to our Clue Map and run a clue check from the location you think is interesting.
If you find the treasure...
First off, congrats! Make sure you do the following:
Record a quick video (minimum 15 seconds long) and post it to Youtube with the title (Grail99 Treasure Jan 2025). In the video, please speak today's date and the time you found the treasure (please use your natural voice for this - no AI voiceover). Feel free to add anything else to the video that you feel like adding (e.g. how you found the prize or who you are!)
Email us the video link at support@grail99.com. We will then reply confirming or denying whether you found the treasure.
GamePass
GamePass holders get daily clues sent out to them. Clues are images, hints, or riddles. They're quite fun and will help you narrow down the location of the treasure.
Two days after each clue is sent out, the solution to the clue will be posted to our website.
Previous days' clue recaps are sent to you immediately by email when you buy a GamePass.
Discount codes
If you purchase a GamePass, you get two discount codes.
Friend discount code in your welcome email for sharing with friends. It's 10% off. You'll also get 10% off for sharing it. Just email us your friend's name who used your discount code and we'll refund you 10%.

Automatic refund for GamePass if treasure found within 8 hours of purchase
We don't want you to be worried about buying a pass and then immediately finding out the treasure was found.
How much could I win?
See our homepage for the current amount. The amount grows as more players play the game and buy GamePasses.
Half of the GamePass money goes to the prize pot and half goes to us (the game organizers).
How the Clue Map works
Go to the clue map, pick a spot and click the "Clue check" button. You'll then either get a "Nothing to show here" message if there are no clues there, or you'll see a clue!
Test it out now by putting the red location pin on the George Washington Statue in Boston Common. You should see the clue "Let's get this party started".
